Nothing is complex. Seemingly complex things arise from simple modular objects acting as foundational building blocks.
The same philosophy is true for art & craft as well. Today, I would like to share 2 of my paintings, which seem to be complex when looked at from a “meta” perspective but if looked carefully, is made up of seemingly simple shapes.
Illusion
Subtle changes in line configuration gives rise to shapes we all recognize since our childhood. Every slight deviation matters. The above painting has divided the A4 size canvas in 4 equal parts. It contains 4 hidden shapes. Can you identify all of them? Comment below.
Abstract
Made with acrylic colours and on A2 paper, I have made this seemingly complex looking picture from simple shapes like triangle, semicircle, circles etc.
I asked my brother how he interpreted this painting. He said it looked like Toucan bird, whereas my father commented that it looked like a parrot. According to me, the interpretation of this painting is in the eye of beholder.
